The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the U.S. Office of the Inspector General are collaborating to enhance the effectiveness of internal audit processes
Deputy Minister of Defence Yuriy Dzhygyr and heads of the Internal Audit Service and the Defence Ministry’s Department for the Prevention and Identification of Corruption met with officials from the Office of the Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Defense to discuss the enhancement of the operational efficiency of structural division in conducting internal audits and anti-corruption measures.
The main topics of the meeting were the implementation of tangible measures to improve the efficiency of international military assistance usage to ensure the necessary capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and corruption risk prevention and mitigation measures.
In addition, the participants discussed how to make the Ukrainian MoD Internal Audit Service more efficient through interaction with similar units in NATO countries, particularly with the Office of the Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Defense.
