The Ministry of Defence has received demining equipment from the Danish Refugee Council

The Danish Refugee Council (DRC) has delivered special equipment to the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine to further equip demining quality-control teams.

The transfer took place as part of the project “Comprehensive Humanitarian Mine Action to Support Early Recovery in Ukraine 2023–2026.” The equipment will be used by the Joint Center of Excellence and Support for Mine Action, Civil Protection, and Environmental Safety.

“The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine is taking effective measures to increase the number of demining quality-control teams,” emphasized Colonel Oleh Shuvarskyi, Head of the Mine Action Department and Deputy Head of the Main Directorate for Mine Action, Civil Protection, and Environmental Safety. 

Colonel Oleh Shuvarskyi thanked the Danish Refugee Council for its long-term cooperation, particularly for its significant contribution to strengthening the National Mine Action Capacity, ensuring the safety of the civilian population, and supporting the recovery of affected territories.
