The Ministry of Defence has adopted a noiseless transporter

The Ministry of Defence has codified and approved the domestically produced CRAB-LS universal ground robotic system.

This was reported by the MoD’s Main Directorate for Support of the Life Cycle of Weapons and Military Equipment.

The CRAB-LS is designed to carry out primarily logistical support tasks, including delivering essential supplies, ammunition, and equipment to positions, as well as evacuating the wounded. It can also be used for mounting weapon stations and as a transporter in high-risk areas.

The system is equipped with a noiseless, high-torque electric motor and all-terrain tires, enabling it to navigate sandy embankments, marshy terrain, shallow ditches, and other obstacles.

The CRAB-LS systems are already carrying out various tasks within the Defence Forces. They evacuated dozens of wounded and delivered tens of tons of cargo (ammunition and provisions) to the area of intense combat, thereby saving the lives of many service members. An example exists of the platform being used as a ground-based kamikaze drone.

A reminder to defense equipment manufacturers: helpful information on the procedure for codifying new models of weapons and military equipment is available here.
