Another important step has been taken to improve the military education system. The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers adjusted the Military Education System Transformation Concept to comply with the Law of Ukraine on Education.

The resolution adopted by the Government was developed by the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine.

The modifications that are taking place:

- A clarification was given on the structural components of the military education system;
- The objectives of educating students in military lyceums, lyceums with advanced military and physical training, and vocational schools with advanced military and physical training were determined.

Going forward, the military education system will involve initial military training for students at military lyceums and lyceums with advanced military and physical training instead of pre-conscription training.

Lyceum students and those of vocational schools with enhanced military and physical training will acquire the basic general military knowledge essential for entry into higher military educational institutions.

Implementing this strategy will secure the continuous education of military personnel for their career growth.
