Sergiy Boyev discussed with German company FFG the possibilities of repairing more armored vehicles in Ukraine

Sergiy Boyev, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, met with Dennis Bürjes, Executive Director of the German company Flensburger Fahrzeugbau Gesellschaft (FFG), to discuss the company’s capabilities.
As a priority, the parties updated the status of the joint project on armored vehicle repairs in Ukraine, reviewing progress reports, discussing next steps, and identifying issues that need to be resolved.
Dennis Bürjes briefed Sergiy Boyev on the scope of Leopard tank repair and overhaul. According to FFG’s Executive Director, a repair hub has been established in Ukraine and is ready to expand repair capacity. He emphasized that the company has sufficient spare parts, personnel, and funding to do so.
“Ukraine is committed to ensuring that equipment returns to the battlefield more quickly so that it can help our service members accomplish their missions,” emphasized Sergiy Boyev.
The parties also discussed replacing destroyed equipment with new assets to expedite the resupply of the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
Additionally, FFG representatives briefed the Ukrainian side on new weapon systems, particularly those with the potential to enhance Ukraine’s counter-drone capabilities.
