Realistic training: a domestic innovation designed to improve combat skills is approved for use in the Defence Forces

Realistic training

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine codified and adopted the Individual Soldier's Simulation Kit 3.0.

Produced by a domestic manufacturer, this system is designed to offer soldiers practical training in settings as similar as possible to real-life combat situations.

The individual kit consists of a laser emitter that can be attached to small arms and gear, which records the hits, and a “stress belt” (bracelet).

A mounted emitter on a hand-carried weapon simulates firing. The system transmits laser signals captured by sensors attached to the helmet or body armor of the person playing the role of the enemy in training. The bracelet is worn on the arm for a tactile sensation of hits. Upon being “hit,” a soldier experiences an electric pulse from a “stress bolt,” causing their gear to illuminate red.

Utilizing these kits in tactical drills allows instructors to assess each participant's performance based on various criteria such as marksmanship, movement skills, and more. This approach enables the assessment of actions and the provision of suggestions to enhance practical expertise, ensuring continuous improvement through subsequent evaluations.
