Over six months, 100,000 reports for a change of duty station were submitted via Army+

The option to submit a change of duty station report was introduced in the Army+ app six months ago, and since then, service members have submitted 100,000 reports. This was announced by Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development.

“We launched the change of duty station report to allow personnel to transfer to units where they can apply their skills in the Defence Forces as effectively as possible. Over this period, 32,000 service members have either joined new units or are awaiting transfer. We are not stopping here. I thank the Personnel Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for their daily efforts in processing all reports. We are working to make the process of changing duty stations even more convenient for service members,” the Deputy Minister noted.

Over the past six months, since this report was introduced in the app, the Ministry of Defence team has been continually improving it. For example, the submission process has been enhanced: a section with templates for required documents and an automatic validity check was added. This reduced the number of errors, as the Personnel Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine previously rejected reports due to insufficient data, providing explanations on what needed to be corrected.

Upon approval, the Personnel Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine prepares an order (for officers) or a directive (for privates or sergeants) for the transfer. Both types of documents are mandatory and must be followed. In collaboration with military command authorities, the Central Department for the Protection of Service Members' Rights addresses potential instances of commanders disregarding orders and oversees their execution.

Service members can report such cases by submitting a complaint and supporting documents to the official email address for appeals concerning the protection of service members’ rights: [email protected]. They should provide an email address and mobile phone number for follow-up communication.
