Oleksandr Balanutsa: Ukraine is willing to share its experience in using American weapons to improve their performance

Ukraine is open to sharing with American companies its expertise in using weapons to counter russian aggression, thus facilitating the development and implementation of advanced technologies in their production. This sets the stage for expanding Ukrainian-American cooperation in the defense industry.

In his speech to American defense companies, members of the National Defense Industries Association (NDIA), Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksandr Balanutsa stressed the importance of increasing the number of joint military industry projects.

“Ukraine has already gained vast experience in using Western weapons on the battlefield. We are willing to share this knowledge to improve the weapon's performance. The NDIA has the potential to become an information bridge between the Defense Ministry and American companies,” the Deputy Minister suggested to American weapon manufacturers.

The war unleashed by russia has exposed the ‘weak spots’ of NATO countries. At the very least, according to the Ukrainian representative, it is a matter of insufficient production of weapons and ammunition.

“But we see how these challenges are being addressed. Speaking from our perspective, we are ready to partner up to accelerate the production, increase the quantity, and improve the quality of what has proven effective on the battlefield,” Oleksandr Balanutsa added.

He thanked the American weapon manufacturer for their support and contribution to the sustainability of Ukraine's defense. At the same time, he emphasized the importance of continuously diversifying the cooperation formats and strengthening partnerships with Ukrainian manufacturers.
