Oleksandr Balanutsa discussed with the Spanish Ambassador the speed up of air defense systems supplies and the aggressor's preparations for large-scale bombardment

Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Oleksandr Balanutsa urged Spain to speed up the delivery of tanks and air defense systems as the aggressor country prepares for new large-scale attacks.

He stated this during a meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Ukraine, Ricardo López-Aranda Jagu.

“Spain's aid is a significant enhancement of Ukraine's ability to repel russian attacks. If possible, we need to accelerate the delivery of air defense systems, including Hawk. The enemy is not stopping large-scale shelling and is preparing for new terrorist attacks, so we must ensure that the surface-to-air missile systems are in the hands of our military as soon as possible,” emphasized Deputy Defence Minister Oleksandr Balanutsa.

The Deputy Minister thanked the Spanish government for the assistance provided, which is predicted to exceed €1 billion by the end of 2024. He also invited the partners to attend the upcoming Second International Defense Industries Forum, which will be hosted in Kyiv.

Oleksandr Balanutsa acknowledged Spain's proactive role in the Capabilities Coalitions. He also proposed Spain to participate in the program for restoring military hospitals.
