Noiseless logistics robot adopted for use in the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Ministry of Defence has codified and adopted the domestically produced unmanned ground robotic systems 'Logistic Zmiy' for deployment within the units of the Defence Forces. This was reported by the MoD’s Main Directorate for Support of the Life Cycle of Weapons and Military Equipment.

This robot, equipped with ballistic and mine protection, is designed to carry out logistics and evacuation tasks in the combat zone.

“Thanks to its low profile, the 'Logistics Zmiy' remains inconspicuous in the terrain. The robot can carry several hundred kilograms of cargo or tow a trailer of comparable weight,” emphasized Colonel Volodymyr Rochniak, Head of the Main Department of Support for the Lifecycle of Weapons and Military Equipment.

The robot's towing capacity and weight are sufficient to transport not just people or cargo from hazardous areas but also to tow light vehicles. When needed, the robot can be equipped with additional modules.

The robot comes with a silent electric motor. It operates on metal wheels with wide grousers, enabling it to navigate rough terrain, stones, mud, and shallow water obstacles.”

The operator controls the robot remotely from a secure location.
