Nearly 30 models of automotive equipment were added to the fleet of the Defence Forces last year

Throughout 2024, the Ministry of Defence codified and approved nearly 30 models of automotive equipment for navigating challenging landscapes and rough terrain in the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

These include quads, buggies, amphibious vehicles, and various other types of transport. Among the codified products from last year are those manufactured by European, American, Asian, and Ukrainian companies.

“Using this category of vehicles empowers our warriors to accomplish various tasks on the front lines. These vehicles are particularly valuable for performing tasks such as logistics support, evacuating the wounded, and swiftly transporting personnel and cargo in areas where conventional trucks or cars cannot access,” said Deputy Defence Minister Dmytro Klimenkov.

Among the models adopted last year are vehicles equipped with electric motors. For example, the Ukrainian electric motorcycle 'Atom Military' is used at the front not only as a quiet, low-profile means of transportation but also as a mobile source of electrical power. This domestically manufactured electric motorcycle can serve as a power source, allowing for recharging other electrical devices from its built-in battery.
