More than UAH 10.8 billion allocated to frontline needs and Ukraine’s defense industry

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved an additional UAH 10.84 billion to bolster the country’s defense capabilities. These funds are the remaining resources of a special state budget fund and will be used to support the military and expand defense manufacturing.
Allocation of funding: weapons procurement and defense industry development
The funding is being distributed across two key areas:
- UAH 9.05 billion for the procurement of new weapons and the modernization and repair of military equipment;
- UAH 1.79 billion for investment in Ukraine’s defense industry, including the implementation of advanced technologies, the expansion of manufacturing capacity, and sector reform.
This distribution will help meet urgent frontline requirements while laying a solid foundation for the long-term development of domestic defense production.
The path of the funding to the front line
This amount was accumulated through personal income tax revenues and license fees from the gambling and lottery sectors under a dedicated program established in 2025, following the Ministry of Defence's assumption of the responsibilities of the former Ministry of Strategic Industries.
As was previously reported, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine is launching a dedicated ‘Logistics Lockdown’ program. The initiative is designed to expand middle-strike capabilities and systematically destroy russian logistics, warehouses, equipment, command posts, and supply routes at operational depth.
