More strike drones in the arsenal of our warriors

В арсеналі наших воїнів стає більше ударних дронів

The Ministry of Defence has codified and authorized the “Baton Optik” Ukrainian-made unmanned aerial systems for operational use within the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the MoD’s Main Directorate for Support of the Life Cycle of Weapons and Military Equipment.

The “Baton Optik” quadcopter features a lightweight frame and is equipped with high-performance motors, a high-capacity battery, and a fiber-optic control channel. The combat payload carried by this drone is powerful enough to neutralize enemy tactical vehicles, firing positions, and ammunition depots. These drones can operate effectively in adverse weather conditions.

Depending on the configuration, the “Baton Optik” drones are equipped with either low-light or thermal imaging cameras.

A reminder to defense equipment manufacturers: helpful information on the procedure for codifying new models of weapons and military equipment is available here.
