The acquisition agencies of the Ministry of Defence have signed contracts for weapons worth more than UAH 280 billion

Contracts for weapons and rear service property totaling more than UAH 280 billion from the 2024 national budget have been signed by the MoD's acquisition agencies. This significant volume of acquisitions confirms our determination to provide the Armed Forces of Ukraine with modern resources crucial for sustaining their combat capability and efficiency.

“Our goal is to ensure stability and reliability in supplying the Armed Forces of Ukraine with modern weapons and rear service property, which is essential for the successful performance of military tasks by service members. It is worth mentioning that a considerable portion of these acquisitions come from domestic manufacturers. The support of Ukrainian defense companies strengthens the country's defense capabilities and fosters economic growth. Our commitment remains strong in supplying the Armed Forces of Ukraine with all necessary resources to effectively protect our country and uphold its independence,” emphasized Dmytro Klimenkov, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine.

Contracts for weapons valued at UAH 222.2 billion were signed by the Defence Procurement Agency, while the State Operator For Non-Lethal Acquisition (DOT) acquired rear service property amounting to UAH 61.7 billion.

Acquisitions include purchasing advanced weapon systems, ammunition, clothing, personal protective equipment, foodstuff, etc. This will significantly increase the operational efficiency of our military units. Furthermore, it will enhance their combat readiness and ability to adjust to the demands of modern warfare.
