MoD equips military units with winter gloves
The State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition (DOT), the procurement agency of the Ministry of Defence, has completed the procurement and delivery of winter gloves for service members. All supplies have already been delivered to military units, fully meeting the requirement for 2025.
A total of 250,000 pairs of winter gloves have been delivered, including:
- 247,000 pairs of Type 2 (Olive Green);
- 3,000 pairs of Type 3 (Black).
The gloves are made from warm, anti-pill fleece and feature a soft wool–acrylic lining that retains heat and ensures comfort during wear. The palm area is reinforced with genuine suede to enhance durability and improve grip. Elastic bands integrated into the wrist and cuff ensure a secure fit, while a loop at the base of the cuff enables attachment to gear. The gloves are manufactured in two sizes and supplied with a storage pouch.
The materials are highly durable, retain their shape after multiple wash cycles, and preserve their color throughout use. The fleece is resistant to pilling, provides excellent breathability, and does not absorb moisture, ensuring comfort during high-intensity activity in cold weather.
The Ministry of Defence continues upgrading winter gear for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, providing service members with high-quality, reliable gear for performing missions in cold conditions. In particular, MoD’s DOT procured 500,000 individual heating systems for service members.
