MoD allocates an additional UAH 2.1 billion to DOT-Chain Defence for equipment orders by the military
The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has allocated an additional UAH 2.1 billion for brigades of the Armed Forces to order drones and other equipment through DOT-Chain Defence. Since the marketplace was launched, the Ministry of Defence has allocated almost UAH 6.3 billion for such procurement.
Under this marketplace model, brigades independently select the drones and other equipment they need using the allocated funds. At the same time, the entire procurement workflow — from contracting to payment — is handled by the MoD Defence Procurement Agency (DPA).
This allows the military to receive equipment quickly, transparently, and without excessive bureaucracy. In particular, the average delivery time for FPV drones ordered through DOT-Chain Defence — from order submission to receipt by a brigade — is 10 days.
In the coming months, the Defence Procurement Agency also plans to launch the “Drone Configurator” feature in DOT-Chain Defence. It will enable the military to customize drones for specific operational tasks by combining various components and parameters such as camera type, frequencies, flight altitude, and more. The team has already finalized the first development phase, which included adapting the existing functionality, and is now working on its integration into the IT system.
