Military lawyer: a unified platform for searching and analyzing legal acts has been launched

As part of the Military Law Project, the Ministry of Defence is launching a new product, LEX.Military Lawyer, in cooperation with ActiveLex.

The main goal of LEX.Military Lawyer is to provide a modern tool for the effective work of Ukrainian lawyers who serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The system stores all the essential information for work, including departmental orders and by-laws, and can be easily retrieved.

“Legal provisions control most aspects within military units. However, there are so many changes in them that the military, in whose interest these changes are made, has no knowledge of them. LEX.Military Lawyer is designed to help solve this problem. The system will optimize task performance by reducing the time spent searching for materials online,” said Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development.

“We are very proud that the LEX platform will become a reliable partner for military lawyers. The tool we have made is meant to help them operate as effectively as possible,” said Volodymyr Ivanov, Director of ActiveLex.

All you need to access LEX.Military Lawyer is an Internet connection, a login, and a password. Specifically, the following will be available in the system:

  • Acts of the Ministry of Defence, of the General Staff, of the individual services, and of the military formations
  • All regulatory legal acts of Ukraine with the ability to compare versions
  • Ukrainian courts' decisions accessible through an advanced search tool
  • Supreme Court Jurisprudence
  • News regarding laws and analysis of changes in regulations
  • Samples of procedural documents
  • Algorithms presented in a visual format for addressing legal issues.
