Lethal sting for the enemy: A new strike drone joins our warriors’ arsenal

The Ministry of Defence has codified and authorized the ‘Vespa-15’ Ukrainian-made unmanned aerial system for operational use within the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the MoD’s Main Directorate for Support of the Life Cycle of Weapons and Military Equipment.
Notably, ‘vespa’ means ‘wasp’ in Italian. ‘Vespa-15’ unmanned aerial vehicles are capable of reaching targets several dozen kilometers away, carrying substantial combat payloads. The drones of the system exhibit enhanced resistance to enemy electronic warfare measures. The explosive “sting” of the Ukrainian “Vespa” can strike not only enemy personnel but also armored vehicles, automobiles, field fortifications, and more. The system includes drone variants designed to perform various tasks both during the day and at night.
A reminder to defense equipment manufacturers: helpful information on the procedure for codifying new models of weapons and military equipment is available here.
