In July 2025, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine authorized 40 new unmanned aerial systems for operational use in the Defence Forces. All are produced domestically.

This was reported by the MoD’s Main Directorate for Support of the Life Cycle of Weapons and Military Equipment.

FPV drones with various specifications made up the majority of systems authorized in July.

In the first seven months of 2025, the Ministry of Defence codified 320 unmanned aerial systems, nearly all of which are Ukrainian-made. This is more than the total for the entire previous year: in 2024, just over 280 Ukrainian UAVs were codified.

The Ministry of Defence reminds manufacturers of weapons and military equipment that detailed information on the codification procedure is available on the official website at the following link: https://mod.gov.ua/kodifikacziya-novih-zrazkiv-ovt.
