Kateryna Chernohorenko: Service members will be able to update their military service status using Army+ app

Our defenders can now rectify their military service records with the latest feature added to the Army+ app. To help service members check their data update status, a request number will be generated when updating the data.

After the launch of Army+, some service members found that information about their service was not visible in the app. Primarily, this was because the personnel at Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Centers did not digitize the data on the current status of individuals’ registration. To rectify the data, the users had to install the Reserve+ app and send a request using it.

“In just the first four weeks of the release, more than 60,000 service members updated their service records, including through Reserve+. It was inconvenient, required the installation of another application, and did not offer service members any details on their data update request. To streamline the process, we have introduced a feature in Army+ that lets military personnel update their service records with just a few clicks and obtain a request number for further tracking the update progress,” said Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development.

How to update your status in Army+:

  • Install/update the application and sign in;
  • If no records exist in the register, the screen will show a message reading ‘No information regarding your military service was found’. If this is the case, click the button that indicates ‘I am indeed a service member currently on active duty.’
  • Fill out the form, provide the required data, and submit it;
  • A request number will be provided to you to track the progress of your request. Wait for a notification of results.

Over the past six weeks, more than 270 thousand service members have signed up in Army+. Incorporated by 1,000 military units, the application has been utilized to send 7,000 electronic reports that are legally equivalent to paper reports.
