Kateryna Chernohorenko: Army+ is utilized by over 300,000 service members and more than 1,000 military units

Within the two months following the launch of the Army+ app, 300,000 service members have registered, and more than 1,000 military units have adopted electronic reporting.

The Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine took the lead in adopting the system.

Currently, military personnel registered with Army+ have the following options:

  • Submit and approve 11 categories of electronic reports;

  • Create a distinct identification number, Army ID;

  • Participate in surveys.

These app’s features are currently accessible to service members from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Special Transport Service of Ukraine. In the future, the app will be accessible to all units of the Defence Forces.

“During September, about 5,000 service members registered in the Army+ every day and submitted up to 200 electronic reports daily. This app was created with the military in mind, by the military. Seeing our defenders increasingly engage with the app is the most encouraging feedback. And this contributes to the digital transformation of our Armed Forces,” said Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development.

The latest update to Army+ allows service members with authorization issues to rectify their data directly through the application. Military training functionality and an expanded list of electronic reports will be added in the next version of Army+.

“Commanders and personnel who have started using Army+ are sharing their feedback with us. In particular, military personnel find great value in the time and resources they save due to reduced paperwork. The swift adoption rate is evident in brigades where personnel are scattered and located far from their headquarters. Army+ enables the rapid submission of a report and tracking of its approval, irrespective of the physical whereabouts of the command. I am grateful to all commanders who are supportive and proactive in digitizing the Armed Forces,” emphasized Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Colonel Andrii Lebedenko.
