Kateryna Chernohorenko: Army+ application has 150,000 service members signed up
One hundred fifty thousand military personnel have already successfully logged in to the Army+ app, which was launched on August 8, 2024.
The app’s first users were from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Special Transport Service of Ukraine. The entire Defence Forces will be incorporated into Army+ at a later stage.
“We have often heard that the army is reluctant to change. The fact that the app has reached 150,000 service members shows that change can happen and people are interested. Our daily efforts are aimed at tackling challenges and processing new requests to allow a larger number of service members to confirm their status and access Army+,” said Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development.
Currently, Army+ allows military personnel to submit reports electronically, complete surveys, and receive a unique Army ID number.
More than 500 military units have put Army+ into practice. The app has facilitated the submission of 2700 e-reports, which hold equal legal validity to traditional paper reports.
“The Ukrainian Armed Forces are making steady progress. It is essential to eliminate unnecessary things, stop inefficient methods, and focus on combat aspects. 150 thousand authorizations are just the beginning. I am thankful to all service members and each commander who manages the electronic reporting system and adopts Army+ within their units,” emphasized Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Colonel Andrii Lebedenko.
