Kateryna Chernohorenko: 100 military units have begun reporting on enemy target destruction to Army+
The Army+ app for the military has introduced a report on the destroyed or damaged enemy targets. Damage or destruction confirmation is processed in the DELTA combat system. The first 100 military units, highly integrated into the DELTA system, have started reporting. The new reporting form will digitize and streamline the daily data submission on military operations results.
Once a day, commanders or their subordinates submit reports to Army+ on the damages for the previous day. Service members must be authorized in DELTA and Army+ to access the system. The Defense Ministry's Situation Center analysts check the data. The digitized analytical report will be accessible to the senior military command. Traditional paper-based reporting remains in use for now. However, digital damage reporting is planned to serve as the basis for implementing in Army+ a quick and convenient submission of reward requests for destroyed equipment.
“This is a significant step toward creating an up-to-date and transparent military operations analysis. With the launch of digital damage reports, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine can send timely and accurate information regarding enemy losses. By integrating Army+ and DELTA, we guarantee accurate record-keeping and trustworthy information. With data transparency, decisions can be made based on facts rather than assumptions. The digitalization of combat operations command and control is the foundation of modern warfare, where acting faster and more efficiently than the enemy is crucial,” explains Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development.
Military units log destroyed or damaged targets on their designated secure layers within the DELTA system, which has been deployed in the Defence Forces and successfully passed NATO’s information security compliance checks. With DELTA, destroyed targets are automatically integrated into the Army+ app.
Information about the type of equipment and other parameters is automatically retrieved using a QR code generated in DELTA. A single object can be added, or a group at once. This speeds up the process and makes it more convenient. Army+ does not store data about the objects, and the generated report is deleted after signing and sent in encrypted form to the Situation Center of the Ministry of Defence.
As per Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 63, approved on January 21, military units are to submit daily reports on damage. The first stage involves gathering feedback and analyzing the reporting process.
Units not included in the initial list for reporting via Army+ but wishing to participate can contact the support service through the DELTA system or the Army+ app. The plan is to expand digital reporting to all units of the Defence Forces.
