Initial outcomes of DOT-Chain in action: over 500 million kg of foodstuff for the military in under a month
The DOT-Chain digital system, unveiled on September 11, now has 2,000 active users. It is designed to digitize the food provisions for the Armed Forces. Over 500 million kilograms of foodstuff have already been acquired using this system.
The State Operator For Non-Lethal Acquisition (DOT), the acquisition agency of the MoD, presented the first results of the DOT-Chain implementation.
Among the registrants are suppliers and military units, including food supply officers, the leadership of military units, and those responsible for receiving products at the warehouse. Every user has access to a personal account.
As stated by the DOT, almost 73 million eggs and more than 500 million kilograms of other various food products have been ordered for the military through the system.
“Since the DOT-Chain system was put into operation, 250,000 documents were already been issued, including requests and expenditure Invoices. Previously, all this documentation was paper-based, causing significant delays and complicating processes. Thanks to digitization, the quick processing of information has allowed us to cut down document processing time by about fourfold,” said Deputy Defence Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov
