In July, the Ministry of Defence authorized fifty new models of ammunition for operational use

In July 2025, the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine authorized 50 new ammunition models for the operational use in the Defence Forces. All are produced domestically.
This was reported by the MoD’s Main Directorate for Support of the Life Cycle of Weapons and Military Equipment.
The majority of munitions authorized in July are shaped-charge and engineering munitions. The list further comprises cutting-edge high-explosive, fragmentation, and thermobaric munitions intended for use with unmanned aerial vehicles.
In the first seven months of 2025, the Ministry of Defence authorized nearly 160 new Ukrainian-made munitions for operational use. This is nearly as many as were authorized throughout 2024, when about 170 new munition models were authorized.
