Government decision allows electronic referrals for MMC to be generated without the signature of enlistment office heads

Government adopts important decisions related to extending deferments and the process of undergoing assessment by MMC

The Cabinet of Ministers has amended Resolution No. 560, updating the procedure for undergoing assessment by the Military Medical Commission (MMC).

Previously, electronic referrals were generated in the Reserve+ application and required the electronic signature of the head of the Territorial Recruitment Center (enlistment office). As a result of the adopted changes, users will soon no longer need to wait for the enlistment office head’s electronic signature when opting to undergo assessment by the MMC.

Moreover, the amendments provide stronger safeguards for the rights of people with disabilities in their interactions with the MMC. In particular, enlistment offices are now explicitly prohibited from requiring individuals with disabilities to undergo the assessment by MMC. Henceforth, such individuals can undergo assessment exclusively on a voluntary basis, for instance, if they wish to serve under contract.

The amendments further refine the list of documents required to confirm the right to deferment for women and men raising three or more children under the age of 18.

“The amendments to the regulations are crucial. They will help optimize and expedite the MMC assessment process, enabling individuals to save time and reducing the administrative workload for enlistment offices personnel,” said Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development.
