Government allocates over UAH 2 billion to Ministry of Defence for ‘Army of Drones Bonus’ project

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine endorsed the proposal of the Ministry of Defence to reallocate the unused balance from the special state budget fund of the Ministry for Strategic Industries, amounting to UAH 2,050,028.309, to enhance financing of the ‘Army of Drones Bonus’ project.

The relevant decision was adopted by the Government at its meeting today, on September 22.

The source of these funds is the unused balance of a portion of the ‘military tax’ (personal income tax on the service remuneration of service members, police officers, and rank-and-file as well as commanding personnel), accumulated as of January 1, 2025, and not utilized by the Ministry for Strategic Industries.

Reference information: The ‘Army of Drones Bonus’ project is a motivation and points accumulation system for military units, awarding credit for verified eliminations of enemy targets, also referred to as ‘e-points’.

Through this initiative, the military can redeem their accumulated points to order Ukrainian-made UAVs and electronic warfare (EW) systems on the Brave1 Market platform and receive them via the digital DOT-Chain Defence system.
