DOT-Chain Defense: enhancing autonomy for brigades and reducing bureaucracy

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine has successfully implemented DOT-Chain Defence, a unique digital system serving as a weapons marketplace for the military.
This decision by the Ministry of Defence has eliminated unnecessary bureaucracy in procurement and granted brigades real autonomy: the military can now select the UAVs they need in just a few clicks, without lengthy approvals or paperwork.
Financial, legal, and logistical matters are taken over by the Defence Procurement Agency (DPA), reducing delivery timelines from months to weeks, with a record of just five days.
The pilot phase, with a budget of UAH 600 million, has already confirmed its significant potential: since 31 July, twelve brigades have received over 11,800 UAVs worth UAH 416 million.
The Ministry of Defence is proceeding with efforts to broaden the range of equipment and to involve new military units.
In this context, the Ministry of Defence is introducing elements of decentralization in supply and streamlining procurement to make it simple, fast, and convenient.
