DOT-Chain cuts down the weekly paperwork in the Armed Forces of Ukraine by more than 30 thousand documents
Introduced by the State Operator For Non-Lethal Acquisition (DOT) on September 11, DOT-Chain is an IT system enabling the Armed Forces of Ukraine to reduce their paper document load by at least 30,000 documents.
Digitization has greatly simplified the process of ordering foodstuff for military units, eliminating weekly document flow by approximately 30,000 paper requests. The system helps to lessen the operational workload for the service members.
Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov pointed out that the DOT-Chain system's implementation cuts paperwork, ensuring a transparent and efficient process for non-lethal supplies.
“Digitization is a vital component in our strategy to maximize the efficiency of public funds. The MoD Partner platform facilitates efficient onboarding of new suppliers without unnecessary difficulties, significantly improving acquisition quality. These steps enable us to address the demands of the Armed Forces of Ukraine more effectively and streamline the resource management,” emphasized Dmytro Klimenkov, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine.
Currently, DOT-Chain covers the entire food supply process, from product requests to the creation of expenditure Invoices and certificates. Besides the military units, the platform is also utilized by suppliers, who can perform the following tasks on their accounts:
- Automatize the procedures for order reception
- Make changes quickly
- Arrange shipment
- Generate primary documents
“Furthermore, we are currently working on enabling military personnel to access the system via their smartphones and, in the future, to submit reports on low-quality products. The DOT inspection reports will be included in the system as well. They will be available to both the military and suppliers. Adopting such a strategy will make the process more transparent and accountable, ultimately enhancing its effectiveness,” said Aliona Zhuzha, IT Advisor at DOT.
