Denys Shmyhal visits defenders of Kharkiv region on the frontline in Vovchansk

Minister of Defence of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal paid a working visit to the defenders of the Kharkiv region who are holding the line in Vovchansk.

In particular, the Minister of Defence visited the command post of the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Kish otaman Kost Hordiienko. 

“We held discussions with the unit’s command. The commander delivered detailed reports on the tactical situation in the sector of responsibility and on enemy force concentrations and capabilities. I am grateful to the personnel for their steadfastness, courage, and professionalism demonstrated while repelling numerous russian attacks,” stated Denys Shmyhal.

The Minister of Defence also visited the command post of the 113th Separate Territorial Defence Brigade holding positions near Vovchansk.

He received briefings from the command on the current situation, defensive positions, personnel sustainment, and the results of combat missions.

“Special attention was given to providing surveillance and communication equipment, drones, and to matters of rotations, logistics, and medical support,” noted Denys Shmyhal.

According to him, responsible officials will be assigned designated operational tasks.

Denys Shmyhal thanked the brigade’s service members for their high level of training and for the genuine heroism they demonstrated during the defense of Vovchansk.
