New agreements with German partners have secured more than €1.2 billion in support

Minister of Defence of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal reported on the signing of several new key agreements with German partners totalling over €1.2 billion.

Of particular significance are the agreements reached between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Friedrich Merz, under which Germany committed to allocate €11.5 billion in support for Ukraine in the coming year.

Other agreements with German partners include:

- Long-term supply of spare parts for Patriot systems in service with Ukraine. This will enable faster repair, modernisation, and restoration of existing systems.

- Procurement of Ukrainian-made UAVs worth €200 million. The supply of Ukrainian drones is a key priority for halting the enemy’s advance and inflicting increased losses on the enemy.

- The largest artillery project: production of 200 units of Bohdana self-propelled artillery systems on the new Zetros chassis, with a total value of €750 million, to enhance Ukraine’s artillery capabilities.

- Joint production of Ukrainian LINZA UAVs in cooperation between Ukrainian company Frontline Robotics and German company Quantum Systems under the Build with Ukraine initiative, to scale tactical reconnaissance capabilities.

- Contracts have been concluded to ensure uninterrupted delivery of advanced electronic warfare (EW) systems at the tactical level.

“I thank Minister of Defence Boris Pistorius for announcing this important support during the Ramstein-format meeting. We especially value the delivery of the two pledged Patriot systems and the ninth IRIS-T system, which will contribute to the protection of Ukrainian cities and reinforce European security,” said Minister of Defence of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.
