Carries hundreds of kilograms of cargo off-road: Ministry of Defence codifies the Varkhan UGV

The Ministry of Defence has codified the Varkhan unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) and approved it for supply to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It is designed for a wide range of military logistics missions: delivering weapons, ammunition, equipment and more.
Technical and tactical specifications of the Varkhan UGV
The Varkhan UGV was built by a Ukrainian defence company in response to requests from troops who need this kind of equipment for logistics tasks. The engineers incorporated all of the defenders’ requirements into the design.
The Varkhan unmanned ground platform is as versatile, reliable and durable as possible. It is built on an all-wheel-drive chassis with a 4×4 wheel configuration, dependent suspension and ground clearance of more than 200 mm. The design gives the vehicle good cross-country mobility and lets it move confidently over difficult terrain, in heavy off-road conditions, through bog and sand.
The platform is fitted with quick-swap batteries, which allows it to carry out missions without interruption.

Strengths of the Varkhan on the battlefield
The Varkhan unmanned ground vehicle confirmed its strong technical and tactical specifications during trials. It has ample capacity to carry hundreds of kilograms of cargo over tens of kilometres. In addition, the Varkhan UGV has several communication and control systems.
The Varkhan meets the demands of modern high-intensity warfare:
- continuous operation;
- reliable, durable components and assemblies;
- easy-to-understand controls;
- availability of spare parts and consumables;
- strong technical and tactical specifications;
- broad logistics capabilities;
- ease of maintenance.
The Varkhan UGV is part of an ecosystem of integrated solutions. It includes T-Bone ground control stations, antennas, masts, repeaters and rotating mechanisms.
Combining these products makes it possible to build integrated solutions for controlling unmanned systems and ensuring stable communications.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defence codified the Zmiy Mini Strike reconnaissance and strike UGV. It was designed together with engineers from one of the most effective combat brigades in the Defence Forces and built drawing on the experience of more than four years of war and on analysis of how ground drones have been used in combat.
