Battlefield-proven projects: Dmytro Klymenkov called for investment in Ukraine's defense industry and outlined the top priorities of the military

During the International Forum of Defense Industries (DFNC2), Ukrainian Deputy Defence Minister Dmytro Klymenkov pleaded for Ukrainian and international manufacturers to invest in Ukraine's defense industry. He emphasized that the defense sector is actively developing, offering significant opportunities for global investors and partners.

“Today, while defending its independence, Ukraine is simultaneously transforming its defense industry. We see huge development potential for those who decide to invest in the Ukrainian defense industry now. Our defense sector is already highly efficient and ready to implement the most advanced technologies. Hence, I encourage both private investors and governments to invest in the Ukrainian defense industry,” the Deputy Defense Minister stated.

According to Dmytro Klymenkov, one of the benefits of Ukrainian weapons is the greater simplicity of maintenance and repair for our military. “This weaponry is already familiar to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. There is no need to dedicate the limited time of the military to training with this weaponry,” he explained, “Furthermore, it is simpler to obtain feedback on Ukrainian weaponry from the AFU. This process enables manufacturers to improve their products continually.”

Dmytro Klymenkov added that Ukraine already has a successful case of cooperation. “The Danish Government was the pioneer in providing direct financial support to Ukrainian defense enterprises, which included producing Bohdana self-propelled artillery systems for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. “The 'Danish model' of support is effective and fast, as it allows us to reduce our dependence on international aid and respond flexibly to the needs of the frontline,” said the Deputy Defence Minister.

According to him, the Ukrainian military's priorities include implementing new, state-of-the-art technologies. “First of all, drones. Specifically, drones that are of the Deepstrike type, flying deep into the enemy's territory. Additionally, we suggest financing the production of reconnaissance and sea drones, as well as ground robotic systems. Missiles, anti-tank systems, armored vehicles, and cutting-edge artillery systems are among our priorities,” said Dmytro Klymenkov, “Our discussions are not restricted to a narrow list of weapons, and we are open to discussing a wide variety of them. Ukraine offers investors reliable defense projects with a proven track record on the battlefield.”
