Army+ launches a new course focused on national identity and Ukrainian military history
A new training course on Ukrainian history and combat traditions has been introduced in the Army+ app. This course is a vital component of military education, designed to instill in service members the ideological foundations, core beliefs, and moral-combat qualities necessary to execute missions under any conditions. The course was developed by the Main Directorate of Psychological Support for Personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Throughout the training, participants will explore the importance of national-patriotic education, the formation of Ukraine’s combat traditions, and the historical evolution of the Ukrainian military. This is the most content-rich course on Army+, consisting of eight modules. A test on knowledge acquisition is given at the end of each module, and a final exam with certification follows the completion of all modules.
“This course is about our history and the foundation of our will to fight for freedom. A highly skilled team worked on it, enriching it with valuable information. This information demonstrates that Ukraine cannot be defeated. Such knowledge is essential for service members, which is why we introduced this course in the Army+ platform. We are also continuing to expand the platform’s educational content to provide more opportunities for learning and skill development,” said Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development.
The course was developed by:
- Oleksandr Alfiorov, Head of the Humanitarian Training Group, 3rd Separate Assault Brigade;
- Vakhtang Kipiani, expert in national-patriotic training, historian;
- Oleksandr Milosh, Media Center technician at the Main Communications Directorate of the Armed Forces of Ukraine;
- Mykola Sierha, Head of the “Cultural Forces” NGO.
In total, with the addition of the new course, Army+ now offers eight courses. 62,000 service members are currently undergoing training, with 24,000 having successfully completed at least one course. The most popular courses are ‘UAV Fundamentals: An Introduction to Unmanned Systems” and “Information Resilience: Cybersecurity.”
