Army+ has launched a survey to assess satisfaction with non-lethal logistics support

A new survey has been launched in the Army+ app for service members. The Ministry of Defence, the State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition (DOT), and the Accounting Chamber seek to assess the current level of satisfaction with military supplies, as well as the prevalence of self-procurement of gear among service members.

“Receiving all necessary supplies for service promptly is one of the key components of an effective military. Through this survey, the state seeks to identify areas for improvement and issues that require resolution. The users’ responses will help formulate recommendations aimed at improving supply and strengthening the combat capabilities of the units,” said Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development.

The survey will cover several key areas of non‑lethal logistics support, including the quality of food, gear, and fuel and lubricants, as well as the timeliness of their delivery. In addition, the survey will provide insight into service members’ attitudes toward the introduction of compensation for gear purchased independently.

Regarding clothing supply, Mykyta Chichkan, Director of the DOT Gear and Clothing Programme, noted: “The DOT seeks to combine the real-world experience of our service members with the best international reimbursement practices that have already proven effective in other countries. Our goal is to build a transparent and predictable reimbursement system that is effective under wartime conditions and tailored to the needs of those on the front line. This is not just a compensation mechanism — it is a tool for building trust, enabling planning, and ensuring accountability.

The survey will run for two weeks, from July 17 to 30, and consists of 31 questions. Taking just 15 minutes, the survey will support efforts to enhance the performance of the State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition (DOT) and identify potential gaps in non-lethal logistical support to the Defence Forces.

“We aim to provide a well-founded assessment during the audit of non-lethal procurement for logistics support. This survey will help us identify issues and risks that warrant attention during the audit,” added Hennadii Plis, Member of the Accounting Chamber.

Since the launch of Army+, a total of 18 surveys have been launched, on average, approximately 20,000 users provide feedback on the issues raised in these surveys. Recent changes stemming from these surveys include the launch of a multi-signature feature for commanders, a revised strategy for field ration provision in the military, and the appointment of a new Head of the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy.
