A new data protection method has been implemented in Army+, and redundant authorizations have been eliminated
An update has been released for Army+ to address the issue of frequent automatic logouts and the need for reauthorization. Thanks to the upgrade in cryptographic encryption, the reliability of data handling has been enhanced.
Currently, 500,000 service members are already using the Army+ app. To protect data, the app periodically deletes user information and prompts users to reauthorize and verify their military service details. This is a safeguard that prevents unauthorized access to information within the application.
In the new version, the data is encrypted using cryptographic methods, which strengthens the security of the application. Active users who log into Army+ at least once a month are not required to reauthorize. In the future, the application will also store information for electronic reports, such as the commander's Army ID or position title, so that users won’t have to enter these details each time they submit documents.
“We have received numerous comments and suggestions from our users regarding the issue of repeated authorization in the app. Thanks to cryptographic technology, we have enhanced data security. Thus, we no longer need to request reauthorizations from active users. Digital services provided by the state should be as convenient as possible,” said Kateryna Chernohorenko, Deputy Minister of Defence for Digital Development.
A new criterion has also been added to Army+, which will automatically verify the status of a service member and allow them to log in to the app. This will accelerate data processing and reduce the workload on operators. Now, the number of authorization requests successfully processed automatically will increase.
Make sure your app is version 2.0.5 or higher. The Army+ application should only be downloaded from the Play Market or App Store. The links are also available on the official application page: https://aplus.mod.gov.ua/.
