Department of Procurement

The Procurement Policy Department ensures the implementation of state policy in the field of defense procurement, organizing centralized public procurement, supply of material resources for the Armed Forces, import purchases, and housing programs for military personnel.

Main tasks

The main tasks of the Procurement Policy Department of the Ministry of Defense include:

  • Formulating and implementing policy for defence procurement by developing and implementing procedures, methodology and standards for centralized and decentralized defence procurement;
  • Ensuring the development of policies, procedures, methodology and standards for organizing centralized public procurement and defence procurement of goods, works, and services for defence purposes, as well as other goods, works, and services to guarantee security and defence needs;
  • Developing the principles of defence procurement policy, analyzing the effectiveness of defence procurement, and providing recommendations for its improvement;
  • Developing a strategy for reforming defence procurement.
