Yevhen Moisiuk: New training center in Poland to boost exchange of experience between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and NATO

In Poland, the largest training center for Ukrainian military personnel, Camp Jomsborg, has been opened. It can host up to 1,200 service members at a time.
The Ukrainian delegation was headed by Lieutenant General Yevhen Moisiuk, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine.
“The training center, established with the support of European partners, including Norway, will provide training for the Defence Forces and strengthen the exchange of combat experience between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and NATO. Here we will be able to share with our partners the expertise and advancements we have gained, particularly in employing and countering drones,” stated Lieutenant General Yevhen Moisiuk.
The decision to establish the training center was adopted in May 2025. On October 1, the training center was formally inaugurated, attended by Poland’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Norway’s Minister of Defence, Tore Onshuus Sandvik, Estonia’s Minister of Defence, Hanno Pevkur, as well as representatives of other NATO member states.
The training center is located at one of the training grounds of the Polish Land Forces. It represents one of NATO’s support measures for Ukraine and lays the foundation for further cooperation in strengthening defense capabilities. There are already 250 Norwegian instructors stationed here. Service members from Estonia and other NATO countries are expected to join them soon.
