‘Wounded Warrior Package’: MoD’s DOT announced procurement of personal hygiene kits

The State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition (DOT), the procurement agency of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, has announced the procurement of personal hygiene kits for wounded service members as part of the ‘Wounded Warrior Package’ initiative. The initiative aims to provide defenders with essential supplies during their treatment in medical facilities.

Three procurements have been announced with a total estimated value exceeding UAH 37 million. It is planned to procure 48,000 hygiene kits for men and 2,000 hygiene kits for women under separate allocations.

“As early as the end of this year, service members will receive the first deliveries of personal hygiene kits. Separating the kits into men’s and women’s categories allows for the individual needs of patients in medical facilities to be addressed. At this stage, we are focusing procurement on items most needed in the first days after injury,” emphasized Mykyta Chichkan, Director of the DOT Gear and Clothing Programme.

Deliveries will be directed to medical facilities across various regions that provide care to service members. The first batches are scheduled for shipment in Q4 2025.

At the end of June, DOT procured the first component of the package: adaptive clothing for service members in all branches of the Defence Forces. The next component — hygiene kits — will be delivered to service members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine through medical facilities.
