With SAP implementation, the Ministry of Defence and the General Staff have automated the accounting of electronic warfare (EW) assets

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Command of the Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has automated the inventory process for electronic warfare (EW) assets using the SAP system.

This automation has accelerated logistics and streamlined information exchange between the Defence Procurement Agency, the Central Directorate for Special Forces Support, and storage facilities. The changes are tangible: the electronic order functionality reduces paperwork by a factor of four, while enabling instantaneous exchange of necessary electronic documents.

The system now enables real-time tracking of document statuses online. For accountants and logisticians, the need for phone-based inquiries regarding EW equipment stocks and movements has been eliminated, enhancing operational efficiency and the accuracy of accounting.

The next stage will focus on implementing automated processes within military units.

The introduction of digital accounting tools, particularly the electronic order system, improves transparency in receiving EW assets from procurement organizations and speeds up the issuance of assets from storage facilities to military units.
