Weapon deliveries will accelerate as the government approves the launch of DOT-Chain Defence — a digital marketplace for weaponry

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a resolution developed by the Ministry of Defence that provides for the expansion of the DOT-Chain digital platform to include weapons procurement. With the new DOT-Chain Defence tool, the military will be able to independently order the required nomenclature items essential for combat missions.
“The military will be able to see exactly what will arrive, who is supplying it, and when. This means more accurate planning, less bureaucracy, and faster delivery. DPA will work with the market to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products to the troops,” emphasized Ukraine’s Minister of Defence, Rustem Umerov.
DOT-Chain Defence is a digital marketplace for weapons. It fundamentally changes the approach to supplying the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Military units will be able to directly order approved items, while the Defense Procurement Agency (DPA) will handle financing, contracting, and logistics. The State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition (DOT) will also participate in the platform.
Initially, the platform will cover FPV drones, with plans to expand to other types of UAVs, electronic warfare (EW) equipment, and robotic systems. The first phase of the marketplace, with participating manufacturers and military units, is set to go live in July.
The implementation of DOT-Chain Defence offers numerous benefits for all parties:
• For the military: greater autonomy in selection, faster delivery, and less paperwork;
• For manufacturers: production based on actual demand and direct feedback;
• For DOT and DPA: comprehensive analytics, contract oversight, and efficient logistics.
“DOT-Chain has already proven effective in non-lethal procurement, reducing the food supply cycle fourfold. Expanding this solution to weapons procurement is a logical step toward greater speed and transparency,” said Arsen Zhumadilov, Director of the Defence Procurement Agency.
The DOT-Chain Defence platform is built upon the existing DOT-Chain system, which has been operational since 2023 and supports the supply of food, clothing, and other essential material resources to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
FPV drone manufacturers are welcome to join the marketplace. Detailed information and the application form are available via the link.
