Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Natalia Kalmykova, on the instructions of the Minister of Defence of Ukraine, made a working visit to the Zaporizhzhya region.

During the visit, she held a meeting at the Zaporizhzhya Regional Military Administration with the Head of the Administration and representatives of the Defence and Security Forces.

At the meeting, participants discussed the issues related to recruiting human resources to the army, medical and social examinations, military medical commissions, training in training centers, reservations, etc.

Natalia Kalmykova also visited the avant-garde surgical group of the Medical Corps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the hospital's rehabilitation department, and a platoon strong point.

"The visit identified several issues that need to be addressed, including those at the regulatory level. We will adjust the legislation and will definitely find ways to overcome the challenges faced by the military. We will strengthen cooperation between central and regional authorities," the Deputy Defence Minister said.

Special attention was paid to the Zaporizhzhya Recruitment Center of the Ukrainian Army, which was one of the first to open in Ukraine and is showing good results.

“We will continue to develop the recruitment system for the Defense Forces and provide citizens with new opportunities to join the army. We already have joint projects in place for the training and recruitment of UAV operators. New initiatives are next in line," emphasized Natalia Kalmykova.
