Volunteers of the Ukrainian Legion in Poland take their Oath of Allegiance

Добровольці «Українського легіону»

Today, at a training facility of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland, the inaugural cohort of volunteers for the Ukrainian Legion took their oath of loyalty to the people of Ukraine.

“Taking the oath is one of the most significant and solemn moments in the life of a service member. This moment is especially significant for the Legion volunteers, as their commitment to supporting Ukraine is a deliberate and unwavering decision. The unit is composed of highly motivated soldiers for whom defending their Homeland against the aggressor is a matter of honor,” emphasized Petro Horkusha, a representative of the Legion's command.

Currently, the service members have begun an intensive training course, which covers marksmanship training (with elements of CQB – Close Quarters Battle), tactical medicine, mine safety, topography, and other essential disciplines. The training is being conducted by skilled instructors from Poland.
