Volodymyr Zaverukha: Ukrainian industry and the experience of the Armed Forces are key to deterring the aggressor

At the initiative of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the domestic defense industry met to discuss strengthening the capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during a strategic defense operation. 

In particular, the discussion focused on the needs of the Ukrainian Defence Forces for ammunition to deter the enemy, taking into account the capabilities of domestic manufacturers and recent changes in the regulatory framework governing the country’s international commitments.

“The deployment of mine and explosive obstacle systems remains one of the most effective means of deterring the enemy along the line of contact. The foundation for advancing and scaling this direction must be the capabilities of Ukraine’s defense industry, coupled with innovations that combat brigades have already proven in battlefield conditions,” emphasized Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, Colonel Volodymyr Zaverukha

Following the meeting, the key stages for the further development of this direction were identified. These stages should take into account existing technological requirements and the capacity for rapid production scaling.
