Valerii Churkin: Over 50 new vehicle models authorized for operational use within the Defense Forces since the beginning of the year

Throughout April 2025, the Ministry of Defence codified and authorized for operational use within Ukraine’s Defence Forces 12 models of automotive equipment for various purposes, over 60 percent of which are of Ukrainian manufacture. This was reported by the MoD’s Main Directorate for Support of the Life Cycle of Weapons and Military Equipment.
Since the beginning of 2025, more than 50 models of automotive equipment have been codified and authorized for operational use within the Defense Forces.
As noted by Deputy Minister of Defence Valerii Churkin, these include wheeled evacuation tractor units, semi-trailer trucks, vehicles for transporting oversized cargo, all-terrain vehicles built on modern chassis for a wide range of applications, mobile cranes, buses, light pickups, and more. In addition to Ukrainian-made vehicles, the fleet has been supplemented with models from leading global manufacturers.
“The mobility of the forces and the operational completion of logistics tasks are contingent upon the availability of the vehicle fleet. Domestic manufacturers have already mastered the production of specific vehicle models. The military requires more modern automotive equipment with a wide range of functional capabilities," said Deputy Minister of Defence Valerii Churkin.
