Valerii Churkin calls on allies to invest in Ukraine’s defence industry

During a meeting between Ukrainian officials and a delegation from the United Kingdom, the parties discussed the implementation of recent partner-led initiatives aimed at strengthening the capabilities of the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian delegation included Deputy Minister of Defence Valerii Churkin, Deputy Minister of Strategic Industries Anna Hvozdyar, and senior officials from relevant units of the Ministry of Defence.
The British delegation was led by Major General Adrian Reilly, Assistant Chief of the Defence Staff and Director for Ukrainian Capabilities.
“I thank the United Kingdom for its comprehensive and unwavering support in countering russian aggression. This is extremely valuable and important for Ukraine,” said Valerii Churkin.
The Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine briefed the British partners on the urgent needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He also called on partners to invest in Ukraine’s defence industry and to explore the most effective and mutually beneficial avenues for cooperation.
The parties also discussed progress in bilateral cooperation and Ukraine’s participation in joint projects with other partner nations.
