The Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Digital Transformation launch the Brave1 grant competition for AI solutions.

Manufacturers can receive up to UAH 100 million in funding through the competition. The state is primarily interested in solutions that significantly improve mission autonomy:

  • Autonomous drones;
  • Autonomous guidance modules and thermal targeting systems for drone interceptors;
  • AI-based solutions for the interception and neutralization of guided aerial bombs (GABs);
  • Simulation environments for training and testing AI-enabled autonomous combat systems.

“Over 200 companies within Brave1 are actively advancing AI technologies that are already influencing the course of the war. The state stands ready to back startups that will deliver a technological edge to Ukraine over the enemy,” said Denys Shmyhal, Minister of Defence of Ukraine. Manufacturers wishing to participate in the competition must submit their applications by 9 September. Further details are available on the dedicated portal: https://grants.brave1.tech.

“We are building a new technological force capable of ensuring Ukraine’s reliable defense in the future,” emphasized Denys Shmyhal.
