Uninterrupted supplies for the Armed Forces of Ukraine: representatives of the Ministry of Defence's procurement agency inspected the lubricant manufacturer
Representatives of the Ministry of Defence’s procurement agency, the State Operator for Non-Lethal Acquisition (DOT), visited one of the manufacturers supplying lubricants to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Such visits take place systematically, enabling the verification of facilities and technological processes, ensuring contract fulfillment, and gaining insight into the production process.
“The procurement of lubricants is a crucial element in maintaining the combat readiness of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Last year, the DOT contracted lubricants worth over UAH 488 million, and as of the beginning of this year, contracts for more than UAH 14 million have already been signed. This is part of a systematic effort to maintain military equipment in optimal condition and ensure uninterrupted supply for our military,” said Glib Kanievskyi, Director of the Defence Ministry's Procurement Policy Department.
The manufacturer provided the DOT representatives with an overview of the production lines, equipment, storage facilities, and laboratory. The DOT team examined the lubricant production process, from receiving raw materials to quality control and the packaging of finished products. Thus, the DOT verified that the company operates modern technological complexes capable of producing the following types of lubricants:
- motor oils
- transmission oils
- industrial oils
- lubricants
- special liquids
In addition, during the visit, DOT gathered feedback from the supplier to enhance cooperation.
“When we visit our suppliers' production facilities, we ensure that the military receives high-quality products for combat missions, as the reliability of military equipment depends, among other factors, on lubrication components,” said Maryna Yeremieieva, Director of the Fuel and Lubricants Program at DOT.
