Under the ‘Contract 18-24’ program, volunteers can now join 24 brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The number of brigades available for volunteers to join under the Ministry of Defence's ‘Contract 18-24’ program has been increased from 16 to 24.  The pertinent order was signed by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The list of brigades participating in the project has been expanded to include:

• 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade “Magura”
• 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa
• 3rd Separate Tank “Iron” Brigade
• 82nd Separate Air Assault “Bukovyna” Brigade
• 34th Separate Coast Guard Brigade
• 103rd Separate Territorial Defense Brigade named after Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky  
• 108th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade
• 127th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade 

As before, volunteers can also join the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade, 95th Separate Air Assault Brigade, 38th Separate Marine Brigade, 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade, 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade, 92nd Separate Assault Brigade, 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade, 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade, 128th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade, 36th Separate Marine Brigade, 39th Separate Coast Guard Brigade, 25th Separate Airborne Brigade, 80th Separate Air Assault Brigade, and 59th Separate Assault Brigade.

Thus, there is now an opportunity to sign a contract and choose a brigade from the Land Forces, Naval Forces, Air Assault Forces, Unmanned Systems Forces, or Territorial Defense Forces.

‘Contract 18-24’ provides financial stability, guaranteed by the state: a contract worth UAH 1,000,000, with UAH 200,000 paid immediately upon signing and the remaining UAH 800,000 disbursed later in two installments.

Volunteers will receive service remuneration of up to UAH 120,000 per month, along with additional payments for combat missions. The total amount can reach up to UAH 2,000,000 per year. Volunteers will be eligible for a zero-interest mortgage, state-funded education and training, free medical care (including dental prosthetics), and the right to travel abroad after one year of service.

The law also guarantees a 12-month exemption from mobilization following the completion of the contract.
