Ukrainian manufacturers received 70-80% of the Ministry of Defence’s contracts in the first half of 2024 - Dmytro Klimenkov
In the first half of 2024, Ukrainian manufacturers had an 80% share of the total contracting volume with the State Operator For Non-Lethal Acquisition (DOT), the Ministry of Defence's acquisition agency.
Domestic companies also prevail in the contracts awarded by the Defense Procurement Agency, accounting for 70%.
"Ukrainian manufacturers are a priority for the Ministry of Defence. Cooperation with domestic businesses allows us to ensure a stable supply of quality products; respond quickly to changes in the defence sector’s needs and contribute to the development of the Ukrainian economy. In the face of external aggression, we must make the most of our own resources and potential to ensure our independence and security," said Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine Dmytro Klimenkov.
He added that this contributes to the stability of the defence equipment supply and supports the development of the national economy in the face of external aggression.
